For the people that don't know the Pittsburgh Penguins, They are an NHL team currently playing in the Stanly cup playoffs. Many people don't know much about this city and just the other day I was talking to someone and that person didn't know if Pittsburgh was a state or a city. I wont say any names, OK it was Danielle, but I can't blame her because Pittsburgh is a useless, unimportant city that doesn't matter. Their hockey team is led by a young boy "Sid the kid" who is clearly struggling to grow a manly play-off beard and instead it's more of perv-stache chin strap. Crosby's unfortunate facial hair is well know around the NHL as well as the sporting world. Also Pittsburgh's coaching methods are questionable as they scratched their assistant captain, Gary Roberts.
The Penguins have stumbled into the Finals buy lucking out against the Senators who beat themselves, the Rangers, and the Fliers who should have lost in the first round to the Capitals. If the Capitals won in the very controversial series they would've played Pittsburgh and most likely crushed them. The Caps would've been led by Alexander Ovechkin (a real man who can grow a real beard). Crosby would have been out played and overpowered by Ovechkin. This is coming from the expert analysis from Evan Frymire the same person who said "Ovechkin will own Crosby in their rookie years and Oveckin will win the Calder Trophy"
Now that the Penguins are playing a real hockey team, the Detroit Red Wings, they are getting manhandled and it took them well over 130 minutes to score their first goal. they also finally won their first game and led by their
fearless leader who banged in two goals from the goal line. Over the next two games Datsyuk, Zetterburg and the rest of the wings will continue the sodomization and win the cup at home in five.

Top 3 most ridiculous things Danielle has said

1) In grade 6 she was asked to pick a number between 1 and 50. She thought for a few seconds and said "ummm 75". The ummm suggested that she was thinking hard about the question and said 75 like it was a serius answer. She (hopefuly) was not paying attention and only overheard "pick a number".
2) In math 12 we were doing graphing and we needed to find quarter sections to find co-ordinates. In the example Mr Killick gave us he used a length of 4. Im sure he used 4 because it was the easiest possible number to find the quarter section.
when we started to do it Danielle quickly asked "what is the quarter section of 4" Mr. killick quickly responded "I'l go check my calculater" sarcastically. Quarter sections were a new concept at the time but the question could be solved by using a small amount of logic.
3) "You need to replace your whole windshield" this is funny because it is impossible to replace half or any section of a windshield.

The Watchmen

looking at different situations or problems from different perspectives important. This can make solving problems or understanding situations much easier. An example of this is getting different points of view from different people. In this novel it jumps around from character to character and shows what they are thinking and doing. Some situations can look normal to some people and strange and weird to others. When someone hears a different language it sounds different but when you hear your own language being spoken it sounds normal.

Canucks this season
Vancouver Canucks are the best team in the NHL at conserving energy. The Canucks know that a team doesn't have to come first in the regular season to win the Stanley cup. The Canucks so far have played this regular season with the bare minimum effort required. They have been hanging around 7th to 9th position for the past month this season and the Canucks are planning on locking up 8th place on the last possible game. By only winning when they absolutely have to they know that they haven't wasted any energy and all of their hard work was necessary. Even if they have to play Detroit in the first round the canucks know that they will have to play Detroit at some point in the playoffs. It would be better for Vancouver to play Detroit in the first round when they are fresh from all the energy they conserved from the season than to play them in a later round.

perils of indifference
it is bad that some humans are treated unfairly and other people don't seem to care that people like them are being abused.
In the story the lottery it seemed like it was a normal village with normal people who thought they were normal. I seemed this way until the loser of the lottery was brutally stoned to death by the rest of the village including her own family. When they were stoning here they all thought it was normal. When the village found out that a different village stopped having the lottery they thought it was wrong and crazy. A similar example that I can recall is Gladiator. In the movie it shows a normal functioning city with many people. Then thousands of people crowd into a giant Colosseum to watch people fight animals and other humans to the death. It seemed normal to them because it happened on a regular basis.
In the story the lottery people think it is alright to harm and kill other people. In the story Perils of indifferece people not in the concentration camps dont have a problem with killing other people as long as it is not them or their families.

Ignorance is bliss
I have been eating fast food for my entire and I liked it a lot more when I didn't know how they made it or where it came from. when I heard that the chickens from KFC had their beaks removed and tube fed it made me think twice before eating and when I did eat there I felt bad. Im probably not going to do anything about it so I would have prefered not to know at all then be told about it.

perfect
I think a character can be perfect and still be beautifull. If small flaws make you unique and no one is perfect, being perfect would make you the only perfect person. By being perfect you would be unique. I dont see anything wrong about being perfect. If you think there is something wrong with being perfect you are lieing to yourself because you know you will never be perfect. If you have a problem with being perfect your imperfections are clearly showing. If you want to know what is like to be the only perfect person in the world than you can come and talk to me. For me it is not a matter of "What if" it's a matter of "Oooo Yeaaah".
